How To Cook Steak On George Foreman Grill
It is quite tiring when you want to cook a steak, and there is a mess all around you. That is why you need to know how to cook steak on George Foreman grill to keep it clean and fast.
There are a lot of things that you can do with a George Foreman grill. You can cook almost anything in it, and it does not make a lot of mess, nor does it produce too much smoke.

What You Will Need
We have used a top sirloin cut in this recipe, which is a fatty steak compared to other cuts. We chose this because it is perfect for grilling in a closed environment with its oils and juices.
If you are looking for just the meaty taste and texture, then I suggest that you get other cuts of meat like the tenderloin. The top sirloin cut has more fats, but it still tastes meaty when cooked.
This cut is perfect for someone who does not want to spend too much money buying a steak while also enjoying the tasty cut of meat. It is also easy to cook and makes it a great meal.
You will also need a few spices that you might want to put on the steak. If not, you can go with the classic salt and pepper combination, which I like since it is simple and effective.

If you are looking for the perfect top sirloin cut, I suggest getting a cut with at least half an inch thick. The best one is if you find a cut of the steak an inch thick for the grilling.
It is up to you to bring your side dishes. You can make them alongside the steak, and I find it great to pair this cut of steak with potatoes, or you can go with salads if you want a healthy dish.
Procedure:
Step 1: Preheat The George Foreman Grill
Preheating this grill is easy as you do not need to manage fuels or a firebox. Unlike the grills you are used to, you can just turn this grill on and set the temperature.
So before you proceed with the ingredients and the other steps, preheat the grill for 5 minutes, set the temperature to the highest setting, and close the grill’s lid while doing so.
Step 2: Prepare The Rub
If you plan to go more than just salt and pepper on your steak, you can go with the spices you like. For this recipe, I used garlic powder along with the basic salt and pepper.
First, get a medium bowl and then mix the dry ingredients in it. You can use a spoon to mix them well together, or you can just go with your hands to even out the mixture well.
Set it aside and then prepare the meat. Get the top sirloin and then place it on a large plate, then start coating it with the rub by sprinkling the rub generously on all sides of the meat.
Use your fingers, and then press the rub into the meat. You can also roll the meat over on the plate to not waste too much of the rub that has fallen from the meat onto the plate.
Step 3: Start Grilling
After letting the meat absorb some of the rubs for a few minutes, check if the grill is hot enough and if so, place the steak in the grill and then let it cook by closing the lid of the grill.
The good thing about the George Foreman grill is that you do not have to worry about turning the steak over. Both the bottom and top parts of the grill produce the same heat to cook.
About 4 minutes into the cooking process, check the steak by putting a meat probe in the meat’s thickest part. Make sure the meat gets up to at least 125 degrees Fahrenheit.
With that internal temperature, the steak should be around medium-rare doneness. If you want to go medium well, you need to get the meat’s internal temperature to 155 degrees.
Keep cooking the steak until it reaches the desired temperature and doneness that you want. From there, let it rest for a bit before you go chowing down on it to cook it furthermore.
Note: The steak will continue to cook even when it is resting. To get to the right doneness, remove the steak from the grill just when it is about to reach the desired temperature.
Put the steak on a plate or, I figured it best to let it rest on a wooden board. That way, the steak will only continue to cook internally, and the board will not affect the temperature that much.
Letting the steak rest will also help keep the moisture in the meat. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before cutting it, and then prepare your salad or other side dishes while waiting.
Step 4: Serve And Enjoy!
After the steak rests and your side dishes are ready, slice the steak and then serve it. It is best to go for a refreshing drink with this steak to refresh yourself.

One way to improve the cooking and save some time is to prepare the side dishes while the steak is cooking. If some ingredients need cooking, then cook them while the steak is resting.

The steak is already heavy on the stomach, so you do not need a side dish to add weight to it. You just need something to give your meal a different flavor when eating, so you do not get tired.
After rinsing the green beans with cold water, dry them by placing them on a plate lined with paper towels. If the George Foreman grill has space, then you can grill them along with the steak.
They will cook quickly, so time them at around 3-5 minutes. After that, remove them from the grill and season them with salt and pepper while waiting for the steak to rest properly.
