This Rec-Tec Vs Grilla Grills comparison is about two specific grills that these two amazing grill companies make. They are pretty similar in terms of service and features on the grills.
These companies are known for their production of amazing grills that can cook almost anything. The grills they produce are nothing short of amazing and are convenient.
Both companies rarely place their products in large markets, which means that you can get the grill you want. This makes it easier and cheaper to buy for their customers.
This comparison post will compare the Grilla Grills Silverbac, a large grill that can cook anything you want.
It also has pretty advanced features that make it very easy to use.

The grill we are comparing from Rec-Tec is the RT-590 grill since it is the closest grill to the Silverbac in terms of price.
It has both advantages and disadvantages compared to the other.
So if you are looking for a grill that can help you cook anything you want and if you want to choose between these two amazing grills, then stick around as we compare their features in detail.
Setting Them Up
These grills are pretty large and can take up a lot of space in your backyard or wherever you set them up.
You do need some help in assembling the parts as well to make the job easier.
The length of these grills is pretty close to each other somewhere around 50 inches.
While it might not sound much, you do need a decent amount of space for you to set them up properly.
That said, you will be needing some time to assemble the parts of the grills.
Both companies provide a guide with instructions on how to do it, so the assembly is pretty easy.
Both of these grills have wheels under their shelves so you can easily roll them out when you need to transport them.
I prefer the wheels on the Rec-Tec grill since it is easier to roll.
The wheels on the Silverbac are reliable, but they easily get stuck on soft surfaces.
The wheels are small, and the grill’s weight can easily sink the wheels if you roll it over soil or sand.
You always need to remember to make sure that you set the grills up somewhere safe.
Do not place them anywhere near flammable or easy-to-melt objects.
Once you get them to a place where you can comfortably cook without burning anything around, then you can start the grills up and make the best steaks or other foods you want.
Build Materials And Construction
One of the best things or features you can look for when trying to buy a grill is the materials used and how well you use them to make the body, cooking grate, and overall grill.
Both of these companies often use stainless steel in making their grills.
You can observe this with the grill models that we have chosen for this comparison as they are very durable.
The RT-590’s main body is all stainless steel, which makes it great for absorbing heat.
It also protects the interior parts of the grill and keeps them from rusting when left outside.
The cooking chamber of this grill is stainless steel, which means that although it absorbs heat pretty well, it does not distribute it back into the food you are cooking.
Just like the RT-590, the Silverbac grill is made mostly of stainless steel. However.
The cooking chamber has heavy-duty stainless steel, which has better heat-retaining properties.
Aside from that, the cooking chamber walls for the Silverbac grill are doubled and insulated.
That means that it does not spend too much fuel to maintain the heat inside.
All the cooking grates, drip pans, firepot/firebox, and burners are stainless steel.
You can be sure that both of these grills are made with the best materials and will last a long time.
Cooking Area And Capacity
These grills have two separate cooking areas, which means that you get to cook multiple foods simultaneously. You can even cook at different temperatures at the same time.
For the Silverbac grill, you get the main cooking area that has 507 square inches.
This is enough for you to cook up to 5 large racks of ribs simultaneously with a lot of extra space.
The RT-590 grill has a slightly larger cooking space with 592 square inches.
This means that you can cook multiple beer-can chickens simultaneously for a large party you are having.
While the RT-590 has a larger main cooking space, it is not as functional as the Silverbac grill.
The Silverbac grill can cook both at low and high temperatures such as searing and smoking.
You will need the optional upper rack for the RT-590 for smoking at low temperatures.
This second shelf extends the cooking area of the RT-590 to 772 square inches for more food.
The Silverbac also has an extension rack to warm your food while cooking the other recipes on the main grill.
This gives the grill 692 square inches of cooking space.
While the RT-590 is a little more expensive than the Silverbac, it does provide more space for you to cook.
It is pretty hard to choose in this category, so I think this might be a tie.
Temperature Range And Control
Both of these grills need electricity to operate the digital and remote controls in them.
They both require a 120-volt outlet to power the display on the pellet hoppers.
This means that they have a similar temperature range as they also both use pellets as fuel.
This is also what makes them versatile, which means that they can cook any recipe you want.
The Silverbac grill from Grilla Grills can get up to a temperature as high as 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
The same goes with the RT-590 which is enough to put some nice sear marks.
You can go as low as 200 degrees Fahrenheit with the RT-590 which is enough to smoke meat.
This is pretty low, but it can sometimes burn the food instead of smoking it for a long time.
While that is impressive, the Silverbac has a wider temperature range as it can go as low as 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
This is better for slow cooking as it does not burn the food after some time.
This means that the Grilla Grills can smoke food better than the Rec-tec grill.
You can control both grills easily, and you can go with 5-degree increments for more precise cooking.
These grills are very precise in setting the temperature and maintaining it where you selected them to be.
There are two ways to control these grills, and both are very convenient.
First, you can control the temperature with the digital control resting on the side of the pellet hopper.
I cannot say one is better than the other as both are very easy and convenient to use.
Both of these grills are Wi-Fi compatible which means that you can connect them with your phone.
You can easily control the grills from anywhere in the house so you can do other things.
As long as the device and grills stay connected to the same Wi-Fi source, you will be able to set the temperature through your device so you do not have to stand beside the grills all the time.
Not only can you control the temperature through your phone, but you can also troubleshoot the grills.
There, you will see if there is a problem through the app that each company provides.
Cooking In The Grills
I tried using these features that we have talked about, and they are nothing short of the advertised functionality.
They are very easy to use and they can cook anything that I want.
The Grilla Grills was great for smoking as it can go to lower temperatures.
I can easily set it and forget it after putting the food inside to monitor it easily through the app on my phone.
The same goes with the Rec-Tec grill as I can sear meat and I am notified once the grill needs more fuel or once done cooking the food.
There was no issue with the control systems.
Since both grills can set the temperature by 5-degree increments, they were great at cooking anything.
I was able to experiment with new recipes with specified temperatures.
Both have a 20-pound pellet hopper which makes it great for cooking for a long time.
I did not need to refill the pellet hopper even after cooking the whole afternoon with high heat.
It can be improved and the pellet hopper could be larger, but I prefer the 20-pound limit.
This made it easy for me to switch the flavors of the smoke and empty it easily when done.
Aside from that, it made it easier for me to remove the extra pellets once done cooking so they do not get stuck inside the hopper and create a blockage inside the feeding mechanism.
Cleaning And Maintenance
These grills have a drip pan which makes them great for catching liquids from the food to prevent flare-ups.
The drip pans made of stainless steel, so they are easy to clean.
I recommend putting aluminum foil on the drip pan so that the grease and the other food residuals do not go directly into the drip pan.
You can do the same with the grease cup.
There is a grease cup on both grills that catches the grease and other residuals from the food.
You can discard the grease after cooking or after you have cleaned the insides.
Remember to always clean the grill after every use to not build up mold and rust easily.
Make sure to brush off the residuals on the grate so they do not produce foul smells.
Roll the grills inside a shed or somewhere safe from rain and sunlight. You can also leave them outside, but I recommend getting them a cover so the grills do not degrade too quickly.
There are many things that you can do to improve the grill that you have.
However, you do not need improvements if you buy a grill from either Rec-Tec or Grilla Grills pellet grills as they are very advanced.
The grills that we have reviewed and compared in this post are perfect for your summer cooking. They are very versatile and you can control them with your phone.
During these hot summer days, you will not need to stand beside the hot grills while cooking. You can set them, control them with your phone, and relax while you wait for your food to cook.
